These terms set out how Daybreak works, what you're agreeing to when you use the service, and what each of us is responsible for. The four most important points are highlighted first; the full agreement follows below.

No contracts, no minimum term. Cancel mid-cycle and keep paid features until the cycle ends.

You must be at least 18 to use the Service. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.

By accessing or using Daybreak (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Daybreak is a science-based recovery support platform that provides evidence-based tracking, AI-powered coaching, therapeutic journaling, and personalized recovery plan tools.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

The free tier provides limited access to core features and is available indefinitely at no cost.
Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period.
We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first Premium payment. After this period, payments are non-refundable. Contact [email protected] for refund requests.

The Service is owned by Daybreak and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your content (journal entries, check-in data, etc.).
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DAYBREAK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account for Terms violations. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice within the Service.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
